Super Eagles chief technical adviser Gernot Rohr visited the training ground of Arsenal football club where he met with Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger and Super Eagles players.
Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr flew to London to meet with with Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger and the technical director of Chelsea Mike Emenalo on Thursday.
The motive of Rohr’s visit to both clubs was not disclosed but it looks as if it was to secure the release of the Premier League clubs’ Nigerian players Mikel Obi, Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi for the forthcoming 2018 World Cup qualifier against Algeria on 12 November.
Nigeria currently top Group B of the African World Cup qualifiers with three points ahead of Algeria, Cameroon and Zambia.
Rohr who has won his first two games in charge of the three-time African champions is hoping to secure a third win on the bounce when they host the Fennecs of Algeria next month.
A tweet on the official handle of the Super Eagles confirms the visit.
