As the year has earnestly kicked off, focused people have already set goals which they hope to meet by the end of the year and with the rise in momentum in the music industry, artistes really need to step up the game to stay relevant.

To some persons, D’banj also known as The Koko Master has lost his relevance and may not be holding as much sway as he previously did in the music industry after the huge fall out with his famed twin brother from another womb, Don Jazzy which led to his exit from their famous record label Mo’Hits in 2012.

However, some others who see through the crystal balls definitely have a different view about the whole situation.

The multiple award winning pop star may have fallen out with the Mo’Hits but who knows, they may still be keeping in touch while people continue to think otherwise.

In fact, a handful of people felt that his career has ended with the melee, but apparently, he has disappointed and still disappointing such persons with his many achievements which he may not have blown his trumpets about.

He floated his own record label known as DB Records and signed his younger brother, Kay Switch,2kriss brothers, Dee Vee and Tonto Dikeh.

Off the mic, D’banj has been extremely successful getting financial success from his brand and struck his gold last year.

The Koko master has made a couple of achievements so far in his effort to remain relevant in the industry and has landed himself quite a handful of profit-yielding endorsements.

He won “Best Collaboration” at AFRIMA Awards 2014, for his ‘Cocoa Na Chocolate Song’which is theme song for One Agricultural initiatives for poverty alleviation in Africa.

His 2016 debut single ‘Emergency’, has been generally accepted as a hit, and has continued to make waves even one year after.

D’banj was ranked the richest solo musician in 2016 in Nigeria according to T.I.N Magazine, although the basis for the judgment may not be totally tally with what a whole lot of others may feel.

At least the feat shows that despite going solo, D’banj has affected as much people to deserve the award.

Obviously, D’banj’s talent is innate and with his achievements so far, hopes are high that he will take fans through another awesome ride in the music industry.
