Real Madrid duo, Gareth Bale and Sergio Ramos will return to the team following spells on the sidelines with injuries, the club has confirmed. Bale and Ramos are expected to be fit for the Sunday city clash with rivals, Atletico Madrid after recovering from injuries.
Welsh International, Bale has been on the sidelines since September after sustaining a calf injury against Shakhtar Donetsk while captain Ramos had to be withdrawn for a dislocated shoulder in the same encounter.
Real Madrid manager, Rafa Benitez disclosed this to reporters ahead of the Sunday encounter saying, “Bale and Ramos can play. I talked to them. They are fine, excited and with desire.”
Benitez also talked on the city clash with Diego Simeone’s Atletico who suffered a shock defeat 2-1 in the UEFA Champions League to Benfica midweek.
He said, “Atletico are a great team, they are well managed. We are very focused knowing that they will be too,” the former Liverpool manager added.
“Despite the result, Atlético had their chances against Benfica. But I insist that every game is different.”
Real Madrid currently lie in 4th spot on the La Liga table with 14 points while Atleti are a spot below with 12 points from 6 matches.
