If there is ever anyone who encapsulate the phrase “meteoric rise” it should be Elizabeth Ayodele who since making her international debut last month in New York, has achieved what would take most international models years – and that’s only if they were lucky.
In just 2 months, Elizabeth, 18, has walked exclusively for three major luxury brands; Fendi, Saint Laurent, and Mui Mui, which showed at New York and Paris respectively, and got signed to IMG Worldwide -an agency based in NYC, London, Paris, Sydney and Milan. Elizabeth is the first Nigerian model to be signed to the outfit.
Earlier this month, she also got signed to Boss Models in Cape Town, and just last week, Models.com named her as one of the top new comers of the season.
Elizabeth’s journey to stardom began last year at the modeling school run by FEW Model Management in Lagos. Elizabeth was discovered and enrolled by Bolajo Fawenhimi, the director and founder of FEW. Since it’s launch in 2014, the scouting agency, FEW has had tremendous impact in Nigeria’s modeling industry through its focus on discovering and training models to world class standard.
Surely at only 18, this can only be the beginning of Elizabeth’s time at the top.
After her last show, rounding off Paris Fashion Week, she instagrammed a photo with the caption:
“It’s the end of fashion week!! If this wasn’t God then I don’t know what else you can call it. Thank you @miumiu @bitton for having me on this amazing show in such gorgeous outfit . Thank you @imgmodels @fewmodels.”
