If you think your pets don’t see or observe what goes on in the house, you may have to rethink.
A pet parrot which monitors what goes on in the house and even in ‘the other room’ has exposed a man’s illicit affair with his housemaid.
Reports say the man’s illicit affair with his domestic help came to fore after the parrot started to squaw some saucy phrases in front of his wife, who was confused at first.
The woman was forced to wonder the kind of relationship that existed between her husband and the housemaid in Kuwait.
Since it is illegal to have illicit affair in a house where a couple lives, the woman took the parrot to police and filed an adultery complaint against her husband.
The man would have been jailed if the bird’s evidence was admitted as the penalty for adultery is as bad as a prison sentence or even hard labour.
Luckily for him, the authorities said the squawking could not be admitted in court, as the parrot could have possibly heard the phrases from an intimate radio or TV conversation.
The case was halted as the the bird’s squawking was not deemed a credible witness, even though the wife insisted that she had suspected her husband for some time and narrated to the court how her husband usually got apprehensive if she arrived home from work earlier than expected.
