Confederation of African Football (CAF) says Egypt will host the 32nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The decision to hand Egypt the hosting rights was reached at the CAF executive committee meeting held on Tuesday at the Terrou-Bi Hotel in Dakar, Senegal.
It will be the fourth time Egypt will be hosting the continental championship.
The North African country hosted and won the tournament in 1986 and 2006.
The country also hosted the FIFA U17 World Cup finals in 1997 and the FIFA U20 World finals in 2009.
24 teams are expected to take part in the 2019 AFCON, making it the biggest tournament ever.
