Barely one day after the House of Representatives asserted that former President Obasanjo is the Grandfather of corruption, one of his ministers, Adeseye Ogunlewe has been charged with corruption.
Ogunlewe, who is a former Minister of Works, was on Friday, November 25, 2016 docked at High Court 6 in Abeokuta, Ogun state, for alleged misappropriation of N800 million.
Ogunlewe who is also the Pro-Chancellor of the Federal University of Agriculture (FUNAAB) Abeokuta was arraigned alongside the Vice Chancellor, Olusola Oyewole and the bursar, Moses Ilesanmi on Friday, November 25, 2016.
The trio were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on an 18-count of alleged financial malpractices.
They were driven to the court by EFCC operatives in a Nissan Urvan bus.
Recall that Obasanjo sacked Ogunlewe as works minister following a feud with his former patron, Bode George.
