A lawmaker representing Vandikwa/Konshisha constituency of Benue State at the House of Representatives has been relieved of his duties on Friday, June 23, 2017.
The Supreme Court ruled that Herman Hembe was not the valid candidate of Nigeria’s ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
Hembe was replaced with Dorathy Mato, who was declared the right winner of the APC primaries.
The embattled lawmaker was also ordered to return all the salaries and allowances he received as lawmaker since 2015 when he was sworn in.
