Mohammed who was taken into custody for questioning over suspected multiple criminal breaches while in office from 2011 and 2015, was confronted by the commission with evidence of sleaze.
According to Vanguard, the detention and interrogation of Mohammed, according to sources, followed series of petitions against him by individuals and groups since 2013.
“A top source in the commission, who did not want to be named, said the former minister was confronted by EFCC operatives with evidence of sleaze and demanded answers from him.”
One of the sources said:
“The former minister has many questions to answer. It is very likely he will spend the night with us to enable our operatives to seek urgent answers to all the issues we have against him.”
