Chelsea Captain, John Terry retired from international duty four years ago, and thus did not make it to EURO 2016. He said he was ‘absolutely gutted’ after seeing England crash out of Euro 2016, but the Chelsea captain seems to have cheered up since his country’s exit.
After watching Roy Hodgson’s men lose to Iceland Terry took to Instragram to express his disappointment at their defeat, but 12 hours later the defender was back on social media, posting a selfie showing him enjoying his holiday with wife Toni.
Terry will be back with Chelsea for pre-season in the coming weeks, but for now has been enjoying some time off with his family.
Terry was set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of last season, but finally signed a contract extension in May, to keep him at the club for another year.
It will see the veteran defender help steer the Blues’ ship under new leadership when Italy manager Antonio Conte joins the club following the conclusion of Euro 2016.
