AS Roma has stated that club legend, Francesco Totti, will soon get back to to the team following his time on the sidelines.
The Rome-based club said that Totti was edging closer to recovery from the thigh injury he sustained in the 5-1 win over Capri in the Serie A clash last month.
39 year old Totti has begun work in the gym and will start training soon as he makes progress on recovery.
Roma’s statement read: “Francesco Totti is continuing to make progress as he bids to return to full fitness after sustaining a thigh injury on September 26.
“Tests carried out on Totti today revealed further improvement in the injured muscle in his right thigh.
“The Giallorossi No.10, who recently struck his 300th goal for the club, will gradually increase his workload with the club’s medical and coaching staff monitoring the situation every day,” the statement added.
