Barring any last minute drama, the protracted transfer saga of Paul Pogba to Manchester United will come to an end as Jose Mourinho is set to capture his no1 summer transfer target.
Pogba is set to become the most expensive player in the world after Manchester united agreed to pay Juventus £112million to Juventus to sign the talented midfielder.
It would be recalled that Manchester United allowed Pogba to leave Old Trafford for just £800,000 four years ago, but are now paying heavily to get him back.
Reports in Italy revealed that a top Juventus source admits that “deal is done” as as United agree to pay Pogba’s agent, Mino Raiola a whopping £20m with Juve agreeing to pay a sum of around £4m to the Italian-born Dutch agent.
The biggest deal in history will eclipse Real’s most expensive signings Gareth Bale’s £86m switch from Tottenham and Cristiano Ronaldo’s £80m move from United.
The amazing Pogba deal was pushed through after Juve signed Gonzalo Higuain for £79m.
In a related development, Jose Mourinho has warned nine united players that they do not have a future at the club as the club prepare for the imminent arrival of Pogba.
The Nine players are Bastian Schweinsteiger, Tyler Blackett, James Wilson, Will Keane, Paddy McNair,
Cameron Borthwick-Jackson, Adnan Januzaj, Andreas Pereira and Guillermo Varela.
Mourinho is set to loan out eight youngsters while Schweinsteiger, 31 will be allowed to look for a new club where he can play regularly.
Tyler Blackett, 22, and James Wilson, 20, will be allowed to leave, along with Will Keane, 23 with old boss David Moyes interested at Sunderland.
Brazilian kid Andreas Pereira, 20, is also being farmed out but he DOES have a United future.
Surprisingly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah, 18, is staying after being offered a new deal.
Thesheet.ng learnt that Mourinho wants to work with 22 core players next season and he held face-to-face meetings with those not in his plans yesterday.
