According to reports from ThisDay, the Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has reiterated that it was not in any way rattled, neither did it suffer any fear with the appointment of ex-governor Dr Kayode Fayemi as a Minister by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This statement was made in Ado Ekiti on Tuesday, by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Jackson Adebayo, who said Fayemi as a governor allegedly plunged Ekiti into a huge debt of N76 billion, saying this is still fresh in the minds of the populace.
The PDP spokesman added that some of the bad policies allegedly initiated by Fayemi would make it difficult for the ex-governor to influence anything in the politics of the State, even if elected a president.
Adebayo added that it is funny, for APC to be expecting something spectacular from Fayemi as a minister, having failed to influence the party in a positive manner, even as an incumbent governor.
