Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s lawyers showed their disappointment of the Code of Conduct Tribunal’s handling of their client’s alleged false asset declaration case on Thursday, by staging a walk out on the tribunal during proceedings.
The 22 lawyers representing Saraki walked out of the CCT saying they could no longer be part of the trial.
They took the decision after the Tribunal ordered that the trial should continue despite the fact that Saraki’s lawyers had on Wednesday, filed an appeal to halt the trial.
Saraki’s lawyers said that the CCT ruling was judicial rascality as the processes of appeal was already before the Supreme Court.
