The Honorable Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola was a guest on ThesheetTV show, Leading Change, where he talked about his time as Lagos governor, what the Ministry of Power is doing to improve Nigeria’s electricity and how the old politicians are also not too old to run for office.
Speaking with Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, Fashola shared how he spent his first week as governor of Lagos state in hospitals and mortuaries and why it would be hard for Nigerians to pay monthly rent.
He also talked about how the PDP abandoned 800 containers of electricity equipment in the port for 10 years, adding that the equipment has since been distributed to different power plants all over the country. He also explained why many Nigerians are yet to get prepaid meters.
He also spoke on how the President Muhammadu Buhari administration is working on at least one road project in all the 36 states, saying that Buhiari is even fixing the road that leads to the house of the former President that is known for writing letters
The former governor also revealed why it took the president about 8 months to choose his ministers and why he is yet to have a cabinet reshuffle three years later.
