Yea, Saturday afternoons and evenings are the time for choir meetings, usher meetings and departmental meetings generally in preparation for Sunday.

“HOUSE CLEANING AND COOKING FOR THE WEEK.”

Considering that we are in the 21st century where Nigerian women are also actively involved in the labour market and corporate world and hardly have enough time to cook good food for their husband and children during the week due to work, Saturdays is always a welcome development.

These days, people just get really good deep freezers and stock them with the different soups and stew they cook during the weekend for the new week.

Also, it is on Saturday people do their laundry and all the house cleaning.

“TIME OUT WITH THE FAMILY.”

Well, considering the stress from work and traffic situation in some parts of Nigeria, parents hardly have enough time with their children during the week. Atimes, the kids don’t even see their parents before going to bed.

So, Saturdays is a good opportunity for some families to hang out together and spend sometime together either in the home or outside.

You don’t always have to do the expensive getaway, sometimes this might just be all you need…
