Real Madrid has confirmed that its star player, Gareth Bale will miss the UEFA Champions League encounter with French champion, Paris Saint-Germain, on Wednesday.
Los Blancos will be without the services of the Welsh forward after suffering a calf injury.
The former Tottenham star, Bale had earlier this season missed three weeks of footballing action as a result of the same problem and only returned to the side ahead of the Atletico Madrid clash in October.
According to a statement released by Real Madrid the club was assessing the damage to Bale’s left leg. Bale was substituted at the weekend’s clash with Levante in the La Liga.
Read Madrid said, “Following medical tests on Gareth Bale at the University Hospital Sanitas La Moraleja he has been diagnosed with an injury in the soleus muscle of his left leg. His recovery will continue to be assessed,” a statement from the club read.”
He has scored 2 goals in 6 appearances in all competitions this season.
