It was funfair at the University of Lagos (UNILAG) last Sunday as the students of King Jaja Hall kicked off their annual hall week with the theme “Efficacy, Edifice and Ethics.”
The event which seek to advocate the return of the hostel to its good-old days started on a bright note on Sunday and will come to an end on Friday, August 19, 2016.
Activities lined for the hall week include health talk, debate, quiz, career talk, football quiz competitions, table tennis championship ceremony, cooking competition and general feeding of residents.
The Hall Chairman, Tosin Ibrahim while speaking with newsmen urged alumni of the school who had once inhabited within the Hall to come to the aid of the Varsity by contributing to its development as present students alone cannot do it all.
“The hall week is to initiate meaningful development in various ramifications through endowments because the university cannot do it alone. We are using this medium to call on alumni of UNILAG who once stayed in King Jaja hall to always pay regular visit to the hall of residence.
Ibrahim added that the activities will not only help to fish out new talents, but will also help to develop existing ones.
