INTRODUCING ‘CONNECTED DASH 2015’
Connected DASH, WHAT IS IT?:
Have you ever imagined a charity walk, treasure hunt, charity fund raiser and fun Christian gathering ALL IN ONE EVENT? Such a gathering would be the Connected Special Edition this year called ‘Connected DASH’.
The project called Connected DASH is a combination of a district wide treasure hunt, charity fundraiser and a fun christian gathering. The project is broken down to two major stages; pre-event stage and the main event (which is scheduled for October 10, 2015).
1. Pre-event Charity Fundraiser
– #ConnectedDASH Campaign
– #DASHforCharity Campaign
– Individual Team fundraising Efforts
– Ticket Sales for The Gathering
The #DASHforCharity Campaign is already underway. The campaign offers you a chance to nominate Charitable Causes that need support this year for identification by the Connected DASH Team.
2. The Main Event
A district wide treasure hunt / charity-walk organized in teams of 5 with stops over in some of the proposed charity locations. To cap it all, a fun music, dance & comedy event to mark the end of the fundraiser.

During the Pre-event stages of DASH, various charities / charitable causes will be nominated by the general public. You can nominate a Charity or Charitable Cause that needs support in 2015 for Connected DASH on this URL.
Note: Nomination closes on June 7, 2015 while online voting starts on June 9, 2015 . You can see our DASH 2015 Charity Selection Criteria for more details.
THIS IS HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE:
There are 3 major ways to participate in Connected Dash:
– Start a Team
– Join a Team
– Support a Team
START A TEAM: To participate, You need to form Teams of 4-5 people to raise funds for any of the selected Charities.
In other words, YOU and 4 other friends will form a DASH team.

CHOOSE A CHARITY: Each Team is to pick a charity to support.
All proceeds from all your activities during DASH goes directly to the Charity you have selected.
Account numbers for DASH 2015 will be made available shortly.
Since there is a prize for the Team that has raised the most money for their charity, we will require payment confirmation for each team’s deposits – deposit slip / internet transfer details / etc.
The PRIZES – fundraiser + treasure hunt
The prize for the top 3 Teams that raises the most verifiable donations is more money for their supported charity.
The first 3 teams to finish the treasure hunt (and find the Treasure) will also get more money for their selected Charity.
Every team that completes the treasure hunt will get some money for their supported charity.
NOTE: These monies will go to the charities of the respective Teams that win them and not to the participant.
We shall confirm the exact sum soon. This is based on the success of our sponsorship drives for the project which will add money to the DASH charity pool of fund aside from the ones collected at Registration.
Connected DASH Demo & Media Shoot
Prior to the main event in October, we will be hosting a demo run on 13th of June tagged DASH Demo & Mediashoot. Charity Fund-raising has never been this much fun.
DASH Demo & Media shoot will feature:
1. Mini version of the treasure hunt & charity walk (about 2.5km) to demonstrate the concept and help participants understand what to expect at the main event in October. The walk will be combined with a treasure hunt to create a fun atmosphere. Participation will be in teams of 5 (five).
2. Charity Photoshoot for all participants to aid their social media campaigns and pre-event fund raising activities.
3. Short Listing & Announcement of the 5 Charitable Organisations for the 2015 edition of the event.
4. Recording of Video Interview and Personalised Adverts.
This is free to all participants.
Date: Saturday, June 13 2015.
Time: 3pm – 7pm
Venue: Amphitheater, University of Lagos, Akoka, Yaba, Lagos.
Fee per Head: Free to Participants
Dress code: white/blue/black (top) on black/blue bottoms (please avoid black on black) and comfortable Shoes.
