If you are among the majority of Lagosians who spend a huge part of their weekdays at work and their early mornings and evenings stuck in traffic and have so much chores to do on weekends that they would gladly give their laundry out to be done at a convenient and affordable rate then you are in luck.
Gbenga Odegbami has launched Safi – an online platform (website and mobile app) to provide on-demand dry cleaning/laundry services across Lagos.
Asked the inspiration behind the creation of Safi, Odegbami told Vanguard:
“We observed that majority of Lagos residents spend a greater part of their day at work and sadly a couple more hours are spent facing the traffic.
So, their weekend is often strained between resting, social outings and doing chores, one of which is doing their laundry. The truth is most people would gladly give this task to someone else if it is convenient, reliable and affordable.
Safi was borne out of the desire to provide efficient and convenient laundry services to individuals so they can have time to engage in other productive tasks.”
Odegbami hopes that Safi can transform the customer experience as well as set an industry benchmark by offering affordable laundry services at the industry ‘s fastest delivery time.
How It Works
Anybody who wants to subscribe is expected to place their orders either via the app or on their website and the laundry company will pick up the wares, clean them and deliver them at the doorstep of the subscribers within 48 hours.
This innovative service model, Odegbami said , is built on a logistics algorithm combined with a world class dry cleaning processes.
“Safi.ng will help customers have best of both worlds instead of selecting between quality and expensive dry-cleaning services on one end or cheaper and poor laundry services on the other”, he enthused.
