Former President Goodluck Jonathan has finally spoken up about his intent to run for the 2019 presidential election.
There had been reports that Jonathan had in Bayelsa on Wednesday, June 6, declared his interest to run for the presidency in 2019.
But Jonathan’s media aide, Ikechukwu Eze, has denied the allegation.
In a phone conversation with Vanguard Newspaper, Eze stated that the former president never made any declaration on 2019 election.
It was also revealed that Jonathan is aware that the Buhari-led administration is investigating him for corruption.
Meanwhile, a former chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Tom Ikimi, has said that the governor of Edo State, Adams Oshiomhole won his re-election bid in 2012 because he begged former President Goodluck Jonathan.
According to the former Minister, he and the current governorship candidate of the PDP in Edo state, Pastor Ize-Iyamu took Oshiomhole to former the President to beg him to provide a level playing field in that election.
