About a week ago, Manchester United and England captain, Wayne Rooney was unavailable for England’s Euro 2016 qualifiers against Estonia and Lithuania due to injury.
The England All-time goalscorer, with 50 goals, sustained the ankle injury in the Euro training session and was sidelined, after previously suffering a knock in Manchester United’s 3-0 defeat to Arsenal in the English Premiership.
However, Sky Sports report that the 29 year old Rooney is expected to be fit and return for the Red Devils clash with Everton at the Merseyside at the weekend, following the restart of the EPL after the international break.
This is a boost for Louis van Gaal’s side who are already without injured German midfielder, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Argentine, Marcos Rojo.
