Supporters and critics of outspoken Senator Shehu Sani were stunned after alleged photos of his campaign posters bearing the image of President Muhammadu Buhari appeared online.
The senator who represents Kaduna Central at the senate, recently dumped the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) for another party – the PRP – because he wasn’t given the party’s ticket to be its flag bearer in the forthcoming election for senate.
The senator, who is very popular on social media for always expressing his opinions on any topic, no matter who’s involved, became a subjection of discussion among some Nigerian social media users because of the campaign poster.
The campaign posters carried an image of President Muhammadu Buhari, the senator and another candidate.
Meanwhile, according to popular Social Media influencer, Kayode Ogundamisi, the Senator Shehu Sani Campaign organization has disown the campaign posters saying the senator did not approve the use of his photograph in the campaign poster.
I have just been informed by the @ShehuSani campaign team that the Senator did not approve the use of his photograph in the campaign poster here 👇
The campaign team became aware of the poster after it was posted on social media. https://t.co/YIOMIDc6VD
