Rising Nollywood actress, Ogechi Peters, recently granted an interview where she talked about things previously unknown to the public about herself. The beautiful actress, who started out as a model while doubling as a student, hit the Nollywood screen in 2013 shortly after her graduation.
Ogechi Peters has featured in movies like ‘A night with the Governor’, ‘Lagos Men’, ‘School War’, ‘Faithful Sin’, ‘Helpless Sisters’.
The Imo-born screen diva is a graduate of Philosophy from the Imo State University.
Peters revealed how veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, popularly called Mama G inspired her acting career in her interview she granted Punch.
She said, “I developed an interest in acting a few years ago, when I met Patience Ozokwor. I was a bit younger and she came to shoot a movie on the street where I lived. At that moment, I knew acting was something I wanted to do when I came of age and had enough courage to venture into it.”
Ogechi Peters also talked about her challenges in the Nigerian movie industry saying, “Adapting to life in Nollywood was not easy for me. I was shy and not accustomed to talking to a lot of people I didn’t know, or working with familiar and more popular faces in the industry. I felt like I was transferred to a new school.”
