Known for his all-round good music, American singer, Ed Sheeran has called it quits with Twitter following constant mean comments by ‘haters.’
While the “Shape of You” hit maker is not the first to delete his social media accounts for same or similar reasons, his action has created a division among his fans as some think he should have developed a thick skin against cyber bullying while others think cyber bullying just needs to stop.
In an interview with The Sun, the Iconic singer said:
“I go on it and there’s nothing but people saying mean things. Twitter’s a platform for that. One comment ruins your day. But that’s why I’ve come off it.”
“The head-f**k for me has been trying to work out why people dislike me so much,” he added.
Well, looking at the fact some people only get on social media just to ensure that certain people do not enjoy their social platforms due to their mean and hateful comments, no, victims of cyber bullying do not have to develop thick skin, cyber bullying needs to stop.
