Manchester City winger, Kevin De Bruyne has stated that he is enjoying his new lease of life at the Manchester club, after an unsuccessful season with Chelsea.
The 24 year old Belgium International was signed to Jose Mourinho’s side in the 2013/2014 season but was sparingly used by the Portuguese gaffer and forced a move to German side, Wolfsburg mid-season.
De Bruyne revealed his joy at getting back to the Premiership and back to winning ways. On an interview he granted goal, De Bruyne said, “It’s very different to two or three years ago. Now I’m playing at a higher level and I will only improve over time. I’m very happy with the way things are going and I just want to try to keep it up.”
Speaking on the £54 million price the City side paid for his service, he was not bothered, saying, “Personally no. I’m not the only player here that they paid a lot of money for. So you don’t think about it. In the end you just try to play your football.”
De Bruyne has been one of the reasons Man City occupies the top spot this season, with 3 goals in his first four matches.
