Plans are in top gear for the 2017 Edition of the India Conference at Harvard University in Cambridge Massachusetts.
For the very first time since 2003, the Conference will be including a Panel Discussion on India Africa Synergies.
The India Africa Panel is a unique, cutting edge Session of the 2017 India Conference at Harvard that will explore the possible benefits of collaboration between India and the Continent of Africa with the core objective of promoting South South Cooperation.
India and Africa share a strong historical background of Trade and Diplomatic ties as well as similarities in terms of human & material resources, large population and more recently, the surge of Innovation.
The Panel Speakers include Deepankar Rustagi, Founder/CEO, Vconnect.com, Nigeria’s Largest Online Director, Amit Shahi, MD/CEO of IdeaWorks Design & Strategy Pvt Ltd, Mrs. Riva Ganguly, Indian Consul General in New York and Mr. H.R. Shah, MD/CEO, TV Asia
Professor Williams Masters, Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University will be moderating this High Impact Session.
Toyosi Akerele-Ogunsiji, Mason Fellow & Mid Career Master in Public Administration Candidate at Harvard Kennedy School who is the Panel Manager and Content Director for the Session said that the Panel will seek to leverage the combined strengths of stakeholders in both regions and analyse the anticipated outcomes and impact of structured partnerships through firms and clusters within various Industries in India and Africa covering the Tech, Media, Healthcare and Public Sectors.
The Panel Session is scheduled to hold at 10:15am on Saturday Feb 11th 2017 at Malkin Penthouse, Littauer Building, Harvard Kennedy School, 79 JFK Street Cambridge MA 02138.
The India Conference is one of the largest student-run Conferences focusing on India in the United States.
Further speaking on the Conference, Hemakshi Meghani (MPP 2017) and Rahul Srinvasan(MPA 2017), both Co-Chairs of the Conference and Harvard Kennedy School Students said “In 2017, we will be celebrating our 14th Anniversary. The conference will bring together Business Leaders, Entertainment Professionals, Government Officials, Philanthropists and many other Leaders to engage in a conversation about India’s path to global leadership.
Other Co-Chairs for this Year’s Conference themed “India: The Global Growth Engine” include Apurv Bansal, Aravind Krishnan, Ranjavati Banerji, Raghav Iyenghar and Saaket Goenka, all Graduate Students at Harvard University.
