It Is Not For You To Say That You Are Special – Koeman To Mourinho

Southampton Manager, Ronald Koeman

Southampton manager, Ronald Koeman, has questioned the thought of Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, describing himself as the ‘Special One’.

This comes ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Southampton at the Stamford Bridge on Saturday. In a chat with the BBC, Koeman stated that Mourinho doesn’t have the right to refer to himself as being special.

Speaking to the BBC he said, “Jose went his own way as a coach and he did things much better. He is a winning coach. I like how he has done, he’s an example to all managers. In some things, he’s special, but what’s a special one?

“It is someone who has a good mentality to be the best, but it’s not for yourself to mention that.”

Chelsea face a tricky tie against a Southampton side who have not done badly this season. Failure to secure maximum points, will increase the pressure on Mourinho whose side have failed to win their last two games (2-2 against Newcastle, and a 2-1 loss to FC Porto).
