Manchester City striker, Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of the club’s Champions League opener against Juventus on Tuesday night.
The 27 year old Argentine missed training on Monday morning and Manuel Pellegrini confirmed at a press conference that the forward will be out as a result of an injury.
Aguero suffered a heavy blow to his knee and was substituted after 24 minutes of the Premier League leaders’ 1-0 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
However, the City boss did confirm that David Silva and Raheem Sterling, who missed out against Palace due to respective ankle and hamstring problems, are both available.
As well as Aguero, Fernandinho, an ever-present for City this season in midfield, and Samir Nasri were also not involved in the session.
