Tragedy struck on Wednesday in Delta State as a tanker conductor who attempted to steal diesel from a stationed tanker in a filling station, along Asaba-Onitsha express way lost his life in the process, Daily Post reports.
The tanker driver was alleged to have gone inside the tanker with his Jerri cans, but unfortunately could not make it out alive as he was suffocated to death.
It was learnt that it took the intervention of officials of the Delta State Fire Service who cut open a part of the tanker and brought the deceased out of the tank, dead.
