Manchester City winger, Jesus Navas has spoken confidently about his team’s chances ahead of the UEFA Champions League clash at home to Sevilla.
The English Premiership leader welcomes Spanish side, Sevilla, to the Etihad at the mid-week Group D encounter.
The Manuel Pellegrini side struggled at the start of the competition after suffering 1-0 home defeat to Juventus.
Man City had to rally on Match Day 2 in the away encounter to Borussia Moenchengladbach as the English side profited from a late Sergio Aguero goal to win 2-1.
29 year old former Sevilla player, Navas, while speaking ahead of the Sevilla-encounter, gave the assurance that with the form the Manchester side is in and their away win in Germany, the team can win anywhere.
Navas said, “It’s going to be a difficult game against Sevilla. They are a solid defensive unit and we’ll need to be at our best to win this game.
“The return match will be even harder because the Sevilla supporters are renowned for their passion and will look to make it difficult for us, but we feel we can win anywhere and proved that by beating Borussia Monchengladbach,” he added.
Navas will be rejoined with his old teammates during the encounter.
