The management of Ogun State College of Health Technology, Ilese Ijebu has indefinitely suspended a randy lecturer who had sex and impregnated one of the nursing students.
Dr Seyi Adu, a married father of two had sometime last August, engaged in sexual escapade with the 28-year-old student, Mosunmola in a hotel.
Mosunmola fell pregnant from the encounter and later had a baby boy at the General Hospital, Epe.
The woman claimed Adu forced her into having a relationship with him in exchange for good grades in his course which she had earlier failed, but the lecturer insisted that she seduced him into getting down with her.
Punch reported that a human rights lawyer with the state ministry of justice was said to have successfully brokered a deal between the duo, wherein Adu agreed to pay Mosunmola a monthly stipend of N5,000 in addition to N7,000 for her ante-natal registration.
Trouble however, started when the lecturer refused to provide about N50, 000 which Mosunmola presented in a list of items required for her delivery.
It was learnt that the suspension notice was posted at a notice board at the administrative block of the school with a warning to people to desist from having anything to do with him.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the institution, Ayodele Alaga, confirmed the development saying: “It is true. The suspension is indefinite. We have severed relationship with him. He was an adjunct lecturer. We will await the final outcome of the investigation by the ministry of health.”
