Mitterand Okorie is a Lecturer at Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike Nigeria, where he teaches Peace and Conflict Studies. He holds a B.A (first class) in International Relations from E.M.U North Cyprus and studied Msc. in Terrorism and International Relations at Aberystwyth University, United Kingdom. He is a girl child education activist and volunteers as the Communication Director of PenLife Foundation. He is also the Corporate Communications Manager for the Teach Him Young Foundation (THYF), an organisation that promotes awareness on the peculiar challenges of boy children in Nigeria, and using various social and interactive initiatives to provide solutions. His novel, All That Was Bright and Ugly was published in 2017 by Blues & Hills.
