Nigerian Internationals, Victor Moses and Idion Ighalo were on target for their EPL teams in the 6th week round of matches. Victor Moses on his West Ham debut opened up scoring for the Hammers against EPL leaders, Manchester City at the Etihad stadium. The Chelsea player who is on a season-long loan made his mark in the 6th minute of the encounter from a Dimitri Payet pass to score a sublime effort from 25 yards, leaving Man City’s Joe Hart helpless.
The clash ended 1-2 in favour of West ham, a victory which sees them climb to the 2 spot on the log.
In the Newcastle-Watford match, Odion Ighalo added to the woes of the St. James’ Park team with a double to seal the EPL newcomers second victory. Odion hit the target in the 10th and 28th mins of the encounter as the hosts put up a dismal performance. The loss leaves Newcastle rooted at the 19th spot on the Premiership table.
The goals were Odion’s 3rd and 4th Premiership goals in the 2015/2016 season.
