
The Nigerian Army on Tuesday announced its latest onslaught on Boko Haram camps at Bolungu 1 and 2, Bula Doye and Cheehi Dare, and secured a very important bridge linking the towns of Miyanti and Banki in Borno State.
The Defence Headquarters made this known in a statement, adding that the Nigerian troops were advancing to wipe out all known Boko Haram terrorists camps towards Banki, Kumshe axis and Bama axis.
In the military’s latest mission, dozens of kidnapped women and children held captive by Boko Haram terrorists were also rescued.
The Defence HQ gave assurance that the troops’ ground mission and aerial bombardments by the Nigerian Air Force continues will continue till the desired objective of defeating the Boko Haram terrorists is achieved.
