The Nigeria U-23 squad will depart their Flourish Resort Camp, Banjul, Gambia base for Senegal, the host country of the Africa U-23 Nations Cup on Wednesday, Completesportsnigeria.com can report.
The delegation made up of 23 players and 10 accompanying officials will depart the Banjul International Airport at about 11pm aboard Arik Airline for the 30 minute flight to Dakar, the Nigeria Football Federation announced on Tuesday.
Nigeria’s opening game against Mali will be played at Caroline Faye Stadium in Mbour on Sunday.
The top three sides at the competition will qualify automatically for the football event of the Rio 2016 Olympics.
The fourth-placed side will take on an Asian side in play-off for a place in event.
