The 57-year-old suspect, Bruce Akers turned himself in to the police who arrested him and charged him on a one count of murder for killing Douglass Flint.
According to reports, the police officers in Maine, Limington, United States, confronted Akers on the said murder and he consequently took them to the site where he buried the victim beneath a rotting deer on his property.
The suspect told police that he would have called in his crime right away, but he wanted a few hours of freedom.
On Thursday, June 16, 2016 Akers called the police to report that Flint had stolen a 6-pack of beer from his home.
Akers also believed that Flint, whose wife died recently must have stolen other things from him asides the cans of beer.
Relatives of the deceased had reported him missing at the police station on Friday, June 17, 2016.
