A brother to a renowned politician has taken his own life following frustration over his inability to cater for his family.
The deceased 60-year-old man identified as Okporo Arigo, whose younger brother is a serving councillor at the Ughelli North legislative arm, committed the act at Uwheru community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
He reportedly dropped a suicide note citing his inability to feed and provide for his immediate family as the reason behind his action.
His lifeless remains was discovered dangling down a tree in the bush with the suicide note nearby.
Speaking under the condition of anonymity, a member of the community executive, said: “He (Arigo) claimed to have embarked on the act to put a stop on his inability to take care of his immediate family after his younger brother, who is a serving councillor, abandoned him to his fate.”
