A 300-level female student of the Department of Language and Linguistics, Delta State University (DELSU), Abraka, Edeki Lucky, is said to have allegedly died of partial stroke at the weekend at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, Oghara.
Her roommate who identified herself as Vera, said she slumped in her room at Ethiope Hall in Site Two of the university in the evening of Saturday, and was rushed to the university’s Health Centre that evening from where she was taken to Eku Hospital and thereafter to Oghara.
She said that at the time she visited Lucky on Wednesday, she was in a state of coma, and that after treatment, her condition worsened, following which she was referred to the Delta State University Teaching Hospital (DELSUTH), Oghara, for further medical examination, where she was diagnosed of partial stroke. Since then she had been receiving treatment until weekend when she gave up the ghost.
It was gathered that until her death, she was always complaining of severe headache, until that fateful day when she slumped in her room in the hostel. Those who knew her said she was a very jovial and kind person.
