Nigeria coach, Sunday Oliseh has included Arsenal youngster, Alex Iwobi in his 25-man squad for next month’s international friendlies against DR Congo and Camroon in Belgium.
The 19 year old forward who plays for Arsenal’s under-21 team scored 9 times in the last 9 matches of the 2014/2015 season.
Iwobi was born in Lagos and is a nephew to legendary footballer Jay Jay Okocha. He is eligible to play for Nigeria as he is yet to make a senior appearance for the English football team. FIFA had clarified that since the Arsenal starlet was yet to play for the Three Lions he could switch allegiance to Nigeria.
The squad includes familiar faces Vincent Enyeama, Elderson Echiejile, Godfrey Oboabona, Ogenyi Onazi, Ahmed Musa, and the recalled duo of Victor Moses and Mikel Obi.
