Plateau State House of Assembly has confirmed the list of caretaker committee members that will lead the 17 Local Government Councils of the state.
It was gathered that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) supporters were littered the assembly complex waiting to hear from the 13 members PDP the outcome of the deliberations.
Meanwhile, Nigerian Society of Chemical Engineers (NSChE) has expressed concern about the hazardous emission of chlorine gas caused by the explosion at the Lamingo Plant of Plateau State Water Board, deploring the avoidable loss of lives and property.
National President, Prof. Emenike N. Wami, said, “We commiserate with the families of victims, who lost their lives, as well as those hospitalised as a result of injuries sustained in the unfortunate incident.
The quick response of the Plateau State Government and its kind gesture in taking responsibility for the hospitalised victims is commendable. We call for these to be followed up by an urgent but thorough investigation into the circumstances that led to the incident.“
