The Inspector General of Police (IGP), Solomon Arase, has revealed via the Police spokesperson, that he has set up a foundation to sponsor talented children of serving and deceased police officers at both primary and secondary school levels.
A statement by police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Olabisi Kolawole said the scholarship is to further guarantee the welfare of officers and men of the Police force.
“The forms for the scholarship scheme are available at all Police children and secondary schools for collection by interested pupils and students of Police officers and men.
“This scholarship scheme is in line with the Policy thrust of IGP Solomon Arase, which is aimed at improving the standard of living of Police Officers and Men,” the police statement said.
