English champions, Chelsea are having a nightmarish 2015/2016 season of their recent history. This is their worst start to the English Premier League in over a decade.

Last season’s double champions, Chelsea are going through a meltdown, and it isn’t hard to see with only two wins in eight matches in the EPL. From defensive woes to calamitous goalkeeping to unprofessional conduct of players like Diego Costa to lacking bite in the attack, the Jose Mourinho boys have made a pact to prove bookmakers wrong and, perhaps, head for the bottom fifth of the table.

Just yesterday, the Blues manager, Jose Mourinho, described this season as the worst in his career saying, “I define it as the worst period in my career, with the worst results in my career.”

“I take it as a fantastic experience, but I don’t want to repeat it, I want to finish it tomorrow and start winning matches again. I think it comes too late, to come after 15 years is too late.”

Speaking ahead of today’s encounter, Southampton boss, Ronald Koeman had hit out at Mourinho saying, “In some things, he’s special, but what’s a special one?”

Chelsea lost today’s encounter at the Stamford Bridge to Koeman’s side 3-1 in a game that saw the Blues take the lead through a Willian goal in the 10th min.

But defensive errors and poor performance led to goals from Steven Davis, Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle to leave the London-side in the 16th position with only 8 points.
