Still basking in the euphoria of a successful 2015/16 season, Super Eagles striking sensation, Odion Ighalo has signed a new five-year deal with his Premier league side, Watford.
The 27-year-old Nigerian joined the Hornets from Udinese in July 2014 and helped them win promotion to the Premier League in 2014-15.
He scored 17 goals in 42 games last season as the Vicarage Road side finished 13th in the top flight and reached the FA Cup semi-final.
The new deal brings an end to the speculations that Ighalo is looking for a new club as his services are no longer needed at Watford, having suffered a deep form in the second half of last season.
Walter Mazzarri’s tutored team start the new EPL campaign with a trip to Southampton on tomorrow.
