The former Real Madrid will be back to face Manchester United at Old Trafford
Juventus striker Cristiano Ronaldo will make a reunion with Manchester United in the Champions League next month.
The 33-year-old was sent off during Juve’s 2-0 win over Valencia after an off-the-ball incident with Colombian defender Jeison Murillo.
The Portuguese superstar was automatically handed a one-game ban for the dismissal as his return to Old Trafford on October, 23 was thrown into doubt.

But UEFA have confirmed that the former Real Madrid striker’s one match ban will stand meaning he would only miss the tie with Young Boys in Turin.
Ronaldo is now cleared to face his former club and ex-manager at Old Trafford and will be hoping to open his account in the competition.
Bianconeri’s boss Max Allegri has stated that the incident that led to Ronaldo’s sending off would have been handled properly with the use of the VAR.
“I can only say that VAR would have helped the referee make the right decision,” Allegri said. “Mostly because it was the 29th minute in the first half in a difficult game, to find yourselves with 10 men for a red card, that was not right.”
The European governing body had earlier announced that the VAR would be introduced in the competition next season.
