Honestly, when people criticise Nollywood these days, they leave you short of words if you even attempt to defend them. This is because, it has become a norm that whatever is the rave of the moment is taken advantage of by nollywood to produce a movie and title it based on that subject matter, either relevant or irrelevant. Examples of such include movies like: ebola, akoto olokada (okada helmet), blackberry babes… and all sorts of silly titles.
Another funny thing they do is use the names of song titles, the magic word or phrase in hit songs; as movie titles and we will be looking at 10 of such movies.
Remember Terry G’s Akpako master….? Here’s what Nollywood did with it!
I guess Mr Ibu is the Don J of Nollywood, no problem with that…
Here’s another one inspired by the Mavins crew… the famous “Dorobucci song” led to this…
Lol, they wouldn’t let Iyanya’s Kukere be… Most wanted kukere babes – what the heck!
….And Kcee’s Limpopo is not left out of this Nollywood party. The problem I have with this movie is Jim Iyke! What was he thinking… after he will be forming American nigga. Oga abeg pack well joor….
I am personally disappointed that Funke Akindele and Kehinde Bankole agreed to feature in this movie… Short of words, really.
Omoge shoki? Lol… seriously Faithia Balogun? and the delectable Bukky Wright? In omoge shoki… Like seriously?
Davido, you’re called…. O. B. O
Ok, seems like Davido is loved, maybe you should do another skelewu video featuring these babes… Just maybe, you never know…
Let me use this opportunity to apologise to 2Pac Shakur in his grave… he must be having HEADACHE now in his GRAVE…
Fam, we can go on and on with this silliness but, my advise to Nollywood is: be creative with your titles and if you want to do comedy, there are cool ways of doing it. At least JENIFA will stand as a standard for this generation of producers.
