Ahead of his proposed £13.8 move to Manchester City, Spain striker, Nolito has been pictured in Manchester city as a lucky fan took the opportunity to take a selfie with him.
The Celta Vigo man jetted in for a medical with The Citizens on Wednesday and is expected to sign three-year contract with the club.
The fan in question, Italian Gigi Vinto, posted the picture to his Instagram account claiming he wished the 29-year-old ‘good luck with City’, to which he responded with a ‘smile.’
Nolito who will become the first summer signing of Manchester City spoke of his admiration for Luis Enrique and Pep Guardiola said; ‘It is a matter of pride if two major coaches like Luis Enrique and [Pep] Guardiola notice you and are interested. ‘I am lucky that I am being considered, and that strengthens me.’
It was Guardiola who gave Nolito his full Barcelona debut back in 2010. He joined the club in 2008 to play for the B-team but was called up to the first team two seasons later, coming on for Pedro in a Copa del Rey game.
He showed enough at Barcelona to be given the chance to stay but he wanted first-team football and that was always going to be more likely away from the Nou Camp.
He went to Benfica in 2011 and soon his No 9 shirt was flying off the rack of the club shop as he made a goalscoring start at his new club. He scored two goals against Trabzonspor in the preliminary round of the Champions League to win them over in just one game.
After moving back to Spain with Granada then Celta Vigo, Nolito has risen to prominence by scoring 39 goals in 100 games for Celta Vigo.
