A fresh case of jungle justice unfolded recently when a man who allegedly stole 15 goats was stripped totally naked and tied to an electric pole in public.
The man said to be in his 30s was caught by a watch dog committee at Awutu Breku in the Central Region of Ghana on Tuesday.
A member of the committee, Kojo Adawu disclosed to Adom News that three other accomplices are currently at large.
According to him, the goat thief was nabbed following proactive measures employed by the watch dog to track the gang down after they had gone to steal from a different town.
He said: “Residents are always complaining of goat thefts in the area and so we tracked these people who were in a taxi cab. We stopped the taxi and was able to arrest one but the others have escaped. But we will arrest them very soon.”
It was also gathered that the taxi with which they carried out the robbery attack was also smashed by angry residents in the area.
The residents have refused to transfer the suspect to the police station but have resorted to tying him to an electric pole to the full glare of the public.
