Picazo’s joy knew no bounds on the 12th of September 2018 when YBNL boss Olamide followed him on instagram, not knowing the rap king had bigger and better plans for him. Picazo who took to instagram to share his excitement on being noticed by the lord of the Streets himself could never have imagined what would come next.
The young Rapper recently made a freestyle cover of Chinko Ekun’s hit Able God and it caught the attention of everyone not least that of Olamide who immediately signed the young rapper into the YBNL family.
Although there are no official documents yet to show everything is official, Olamide took to his instagram account to inform the public that Picazo is now a YBNL artiste which immediately sent social media into a frenzy.
While the news of Picazo’s signing was still trending, Olamide also brought smile to the face of another young rapper, Yomiblaze who incidentally is a friend to Picazo. The YBNL label boss also took to Instagram to announce the good news.
Meanwhile, a debate has been going on, that if good music is basically defined by good lyrics, sound, creativity and originality among other considerations, should sexist be a part of it?
While this is a global issue, it is gradually limiting the creativity and the strength of women who are into music especially in Nigeria.
Generally, an artiste is a professional entertainer, especially a singer or dancer.
