While re-assuring Nigerians, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, said that the present administration will not rest until things get better in the country.
Oyegun made this statement yesterday, June 13th at the book presentation by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Prosecutions, Okoi Obono-Obla in Abuja.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), APC is aware of the fact that same Nigerians that voted them into power, are capable of taking the mantle of leadership away from them come 2019 if they fail to meet up with their expectations.
Therefore, the chairman told Nigerians to stay supportive as Buhari-led administration will deliver all its campaign promises in due time.
“You were there and you saw it happen, but this is not to say you are the custodian of all the facts, because there were other players.
“We created a machine that has started a significant move in entrenching democracy in this country. What is democracy?
“It is the ability to hire and fire. It was the first time that Nigerians had the ability of firing and it has become internalized in our political psyche. We know that we should not make the mistakes of the PDP.
“We know now that we can be fired by Nigerians and that is the beauty of democracy.”
The book titled “All Progressives Congress: The Making of a Change Agent’’ was reviewed by the Minister of Mines and Solid Minerals, Dr Kayode Fayemi, and presented to the public in April.
